Sorry for the delay!  

French: This week, we will be learning the verb ALLER at the present tense. Evaluation on Thursday.

Programme de lecture à la maison: We are continuing the French reading at home program. Students are to read out loud to practice pronunciation. Reading log is due every Monday.

Math: We are starting subtractions. Please practice basic facts up to 9 + 9 so students know the answers quickly!

English/Religion: We are writing about of our saint following spelling and basic grammar concepts.

Health: Students are reminded to have enough hours of sleep, so they are rested when coming to school and ready to work and learn!
Social Studies:  We are starting our unit on the creation of the world, living creatures and humans. Evaluation next week.

Christmas concert: Students have received the lyrics for the opening and the closing songs today. They should start memorizing them. Our classroom song will be given next week.

Scholastic book orders: For December as a x-mas gift, each student have received a 6$ coupon to apply toward the purchase of an item of their choice. If you’re not going to order from Scholastic, please send the coupon back so I can offer it to some less fortunate students! The coupon can not be used at the book fair.

Christmas Hampers : Grade 4 students are asked to give 5$ coupons from Tim Hortons or McDonalds.

Programme de lecture à la maison: We are continuing the French reading at home program. Students are to read out loud to practice pronunciation. Reading log is due every Monday.

Math: We are continuing the unit on additions and subtractions. Please practice basic facts up to 9 + 9 so students know the answers quickly!

Agendas: Students should put a checkmark when something is done. Parents are asked to supervise homework and to put their initials when homework is completed. If your child does not have time to complete his/her homework, please write a little note in the agenda.

French: This week, we will be learning verbs ending with “ER” at the present tense. Evaluation on Friday. Students will also learn how to auto-evaluate their own writing in their French journal.

Programme de lecture à la maison: We are continuing the French reading at home program. Students are to read out loud to practice pronunciation. Reading log is due every Monday.

Math: We are continuing the unit on additions and subtractions. Please practice basic facts up to 9 + 9 so students know the answers quickly!

English/Religion: We will continue the planning of our Saint project by finding keys words to answer our questions.

Health: Students are reminded to have enough hours of sleep, so they are rested when coming to school and ready to work and learn!

Science: We have completed our unit. We will continue our MSD (Mercredi Sans Déchets) (Wasteless Wednesdays) in order to take care of our environment.

Agendas: Students should put a checkmark when something is done. Parents are asked to supervise homework and to put their initials when homework is completed. If your child does not have time to complete his/her homework, please write a little note in the agenda.

Learning Common: We will visit the Learning common every day 2. Students are reminded to bring their books on that day to return or to renew them.

November 5th to 9th

5 au 9 novembre 2018

French: This week, hopefully we will complete our writing project and look in the dictionary for proper spelling and grammar. Students will also learn how to auto-evaluate their own writing.

Math: We are starting the unit on additions and subtractions. Please practice basic facts up to 9 + 9 so students know the answers quickly!

English: When completing book reports, students are asked to summarize the story in their own words/sentences not to copy sentences from the book. They should also pay attention how to spell common words properly. I will soon provide a list of words they should how to spell by grade 4.

Health: Students are reminded to have enough hours of sleep, so they are rested when coming to school and ready to work and learn!

Religion: We will talk about All Souls Day and All Saints Day. Students are asked to start thinking about a saint they would like to research on.

Science: We will complete the second part of our unit on Waste and our environment. Evaluation on Friday. We will continue our MSD (Mercredi sans déchets) Wasteless Wednesdays.
