Here is what we will be covering in class this week:


French: Students will learn about verbs ending in ER in the present tense. There will be an
 evaluation on Friday. In addition, the good copy of their writing project is due on ThursdayA reminder that students reading programs are due on Mondays. If they forgot their yellow tracking sheet at school, students can always use a lined piece of paper and have a parent sign off on their reading minutes.

MathWe are using a variety of strategies to compare and order numbers  up to 10,000.  ( a place-value chart, a number line, symbols <  >  = ). Students will have an evaluation next week.

English: Students will write about a variety of experiences. For example, “How did they celebrate Halloween?”  “What is their pet peeve?” etc.

Science: We will start a new project where students research an environmental organization. Students should also be reviewing their notes in preparation for the evaluation next week.

Social Studies: There will be an evaluation next week about the different theories of the creation of Earth and the scientists who study the past. 

Religion  How are we united with Christ in the mass?  How do you become a Saint?   Soon, students will get a chance to pick a Saint and present his/her life to the class.

Art: Halloween art project is due ASAP.

Halloween treats: Maximum of two per day at school please.
