March 20- 24

Here’s the plan for next week:

 French: This week students will be completing their literacy projects. Everything is due on March 24th.
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **
Math: We will complete our unit on telling time. There will be an evaluation on Wednesday, March 22nd.


English/ Religion: Students will be completing their religion projects. The project is due on Wednesday, March 22nd. In religion, students will also work on their Lenten promises.

Social Studies: This week we will look at natural resources in Alberta with a focus on agriculture. Students will receive a field trip form for Aggie Days on Monday and forms are due by Wednesday.
 

Science: Our next MSD (wasteless lunch) is on Wednesday, March 22nd. If you do not wish for your child to participate, please write a note in his or her agenda.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Thank you to all of the parents who came to interviews. If you have any questions or concerns from now until the end of the school year, please do no hesitate to contact me. 

This Friday will be Jeux de société. If possible, bring a game related to math.

Mar. 13- 15

Here’s the plan for next week:
 French: This week students will be learning 'les verbes pronominaux'. They will also continue to work on their literacy projects.
 
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **
 
Math: We will continue our unit on telling time. There will be an evaluation on Wednesday.
 
English/ Religion: Students will be working on their religion project. In religion, students will also work on their Lenten promises.
 
Science: There will be an evaluation on the Lights and Shadows unit on Wednesday, March 15th.

Our next MSD (wasteless lunch) is on Wednesday, March 15th. If you do not wish for your child to participate, please write a note in his or her agenda.
 
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Parent-Teacher conferences will take place on Thursday, March 16th from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Please book your appointment using the Conference Manager.
There will be no school on Friday, March 17th.

Here’s the plan for next week:
 French: This week students will be working on their literacy projects as well as review grammar rules such as adjectives, nouns, homophones, masculine/ feminine and singular/ plural.
 
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **
 
Math: We will continue our unit on telling time. There will be an evaluation Friday.
 
English: Students will complete their poem about famous people of Alberta. This is to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary.

Religion: Students will be working on their religion project.
 
Science: We will be completing our Lights and Shadows unit. There will be an evaluation on Thursday.

Feb. 21- 24

Here’s the plan for next week:

 French: This week students will learn the verbs that use ÊTRE in the 'passé composé'. In addition, we will be continuing our physical activity journal (JAP) for the month of February. This is a French and Health project.
 
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Tuesday, along with their JAP. **
 
Math: We will begin our unit on telling time.
 
English: Students will work on a poem about famous people of Alberta. This is to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary.
 
Science: We are completing our Lights and Shadows unit. There will be an evaluation on Monday, February 27th.

 French: This week students will work on various Valentine's Day activities. In addition, we will be continuing our physical activity journal (JAP) for the month of February. This is a French and Health project.
 
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday, along with their JAP. **
 
Math: We will complete our unit on division. Students should be reviewing their basic division facts. There will be an evaluation on multiplication and division on Wednesday, February 15th.
 
English: We will be working on various activities for Valentine's Day.
 
Science: We are continuing our Lights and Shadows unit.
Our next MSD (wasteless lunch) is on Wednesday, February 15th. More information is also posted on the blog. If you do not wish for your child to participate, please write a note in his or her agenda.
 
Social Studies: We are working on the project on the different regions of Alberta. Students will present their topic in class.

 French: This week students will learn the 'passé composé' with the verb ALLER. There will be an evaluation on Friday, February 10th. In addition, we will be starting our physical activity journal (JAP) for the month of February. This is a French and Health project.
 
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **
 
Math: We will begin our unit on division. Students should be reviewing their basic division facts.
 
Music/ English: The music research project is due Wednesday February 8th . Students will begin presentations on Thursday.
 
Science: We will begin our Lights and Shadows unit.

Social Studies: This week we will work on a project on the different regions of Alberta. This project should not take very long so it will be due on Monday, February 13th.

Here’s the plan for next week:
 
This week students will learn the 'passé composé' with verbs ending in RE. There will be an evaluation on Thursday, January 26th. 
 
**Students must also remember to read in French 20 minutes per day, 4 days a week for their reading program. Reading logs from last week are due on Monday. **
 
Math: We will continue our unit on multiplication. Students should be reviewing their basic multiplication facts up to 7. There will be a timed pop quiz sometime during the week on numbers up to 7.
 
Music/ English: We will continue to work on the music research project. 
 
Science: Our next MSD (wasteless lunch) is on Wednesday, January 25th. More information is also posted on the blog. If you do not wish for your child to participate, please write a note in his or her agenda.
 
Social Studies: This week we will start our unit on the Rocky Mountains.
